Spot your body's patterns

Track symptoms, moods and other health markers to identify patterns over time, and notice when something's off.

Your data stays yours

Everything you log is encrypted and stored on your device. No cloud, nothing to sell, share, or leak. Lock the app with biometrics, and inspect the code on GitHub.

Never lose your data

Create encrypted backups anytime and restore them if you change your phone.

Private doesn't mean clunky

Bluma is built to be as easy and enjoyable to use as it is private. No ads, no upsells, nothing to interrupt you.

Built from personal need

Maribel Ferreira, creator of Bluma

I was concerned about how health data is handled by many period tracking apps. I tried local-storage alternatives, but they felt clunky and lacked features I needed.

Privacy and a good experience shouldn't be a trade-off. So I built Bluma, designed to be a delight to use while keeping your data on your device.

Frequently asked questions

Does Bluma work without an internet connection?

Yes. Everything in Bluma works fully offline. No internet connection is required.

What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?

Your data lives only on your device. If you uninstall Bluma without creating a backup first, that data is gone, there's no server copy to recover it from.

Can I use Bluma as a contraception method?

No. Bluma should not be used as a contraception method. It can help you estimate your fertile window and ovulation based on your cycle history, along with signs like basal body temperature and cervical mucus.

These insights are meant to help you learn more about your menstrual cycle. For contraception or family planning, please speak with a healthcare provider.

How accurate are Bluma’s predictions?

Bluma uses your cycle history to estimate your next period, fertile window, and ovulation. Recent cycles have more influence on estimates than older ones.

After about three cycles, predictions become more consistent. Accuracy can still vary from cycle to cycle, so these estimates should be used as guidance. All calculations happen on your device.

Is Bluma available on iOS?
